Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how UAE Tax Calculator ("we", "us") handles information when you use the service at uaetaxcalc.com (the "Service").

What we collect

The Service is designed to require as little personal information as possible.

• Calculator inputs. Everything you enter into the calculator (revenue, expenses, financial year dates, business type) is processed entirely in your browser. Those figures are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Email address (only if you give it). If you voluntarily subscribe to a guide or update, we store the email address you provide and use it only for that purpose.
• Analytics. When you visit the Service we record standard request data through our analytics provider: IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, pages visited, approximate location (city level), and timestamps. We use this information in aggregate to understand usage and improve the product.

What we don't collect

We do not collect or store the actual revenue, expense, profit, or tax figures you enter into the calculator. The calculation runs locally in your browser; the result you see is the result you keep. We do not collect your Emirates ID, passport number, TRN, or bank details. We do not require an account.

Third parties

We use two third-party services to operate the site:

• Vercel hosts the website and may log standard request metadata.
• PostHog provides analytics and processes the events described under "Analytics" above.

Both providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by their own published privacy commitments.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and, where you allow them, analytics cookies that help us measure usage. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 12 months and then deleted or fully anonymised. Email addresses you provide are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to confirm what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Send your request to support@uaetaxcalc.com from the email address concerned. We aim to respond within 14 days.

Children

The Service is not directed at users under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.

International users

The Service may process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in jurisdictions where our analytics and hosting providers operate. By using the Service you accept that your data may be processed in those jurisdictions.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
